Nicolo Salon if named after its founder Nicolo Desiderio. The company is almost 48 years old. It all began with Nicolo coming to America as a legal immigrant at the age of 20 with 25 cents in his pocket.

He was born and raised in the small town of Orsogna Italy in the region of Abruzzo Italy. His parents Vincenzo and Maria lived above the salon when they decided to move to America.

He is one of 5 Children. Camillo, Rocco, Elizabeth, and Domenico who died of illness after WWII.

Nicolo married Susan Puleo from Malden while attending cosmetology school. Together they purchased the current Nicolo Salon building which was a residential house/business which they converted into a hair salon.
